I have 10 minutes to spare while I wait for Lily to sink into sleep. The whole house stops for a few moments when we put her down. Once she is out, the bustle of real life can resume and she will sleep right through it, but until she is asleep the slightest noise will cause her to chatter and whine. Have we sleep trained her, or has she trained us? I think that answer is pretty clear.
I have dinner to get in the crockpot, because it is crockpot Tuesday at the Owens household. Tuesday is the day I teach art, and volunteer in the kindergarten classroom, and it is YM/YW which Noah is now a part of, and which Chris more often than not has to attend. I am trying a new to us recipe. It is from the 6 sisters website. Crockpot Mongolian Beef. Sounds yummy! We are going to have that over Quinoa instead of rice. I am trying to make slightly better choices with what we eat here. It cant be Cheetos all the time ;)
Today for art we are taking our inspiration from technology. I saw the coolest picture in a magazine that used post-it's to make a QR code. I thought, "we could do that!" We are going to mosaic a QR code that I made that says "ART" when scanned, and then QR bomb the school. We really have the best time in art. Most favorite volunteer spot ever!
I must tell you about my experience with PRK eye surgery. It has been an experience that's for sure. No regrets, just a few things they could be clearer and more upfront with. (And I am not an uninformed patient.). Slowly but surely I am getting there. I am driving again! Woo-hoo for the little things in life.
No sounds for the last five mins. I think I'm safe to move!

Wow, Noah is in young mens already?! Crazy. It's great to see you are still there and alive. Keep up the good work!
