Winter Break

Dear Friends,

Just one more day until 2 fabulous winter break weeks.  I don"t know about you, but I am a little tired.  I am tired of fixing lunches, checking and signing planners, and the myriad other duties that belong to having 3 kids in 3 different classrooms.  I am looking forward to days spent in pj's, hot cocoa, Christmas memories and the joy of watching my little people play.  We have had a fun and full semester.  Chris would have finally finished that Masters in Public health if it were not for the broken arm and wrist.  he has to defend his project, but that won't happen until spring now.  Bishop duties still take up a great deal of time, but the funny thing about this calling is the amount of time we seem to be given.  There is really no earthly way we should be able to accomplish 1/2 of what we have going.  (I will miss that when this is done, but not much else ;)  I have been volunteering a huge amount at my kids school.  Art has been oodles of fun, while also a challenge to have a weekly lesson plan and activity ready for 7/8 year olds.  Noah has his piano recital tonight.  he has blossomed this last semester.  he is gaining confidence in himself which is fun to watch.  (We are just waiting for him to gain height.)
Lauren performed in the Nutcracker last Friday.  She was beautiful, and my heart was happy as I watched her.  She was so graceful, and her long legs are made for ballet.  Ella our little firecracker is a reading, writing, talking, fact filled kindergartner.  her world has expanded and she loves to share.  Lily is a sweet pea who has no use for walking.  She scoots, and that is good enough for her.  She is 16 months, and we are hoping she will walk by kindergarten.

Merry Christmas my friends, and happy Winter Break to you all.

  1. Oh yes, I am totally with you there. We need Christmas break this year like a fish needs water. And I don't even have 3 in school!
