Lauren has had a rough couple of days. Yesterday she was playing with my dad in the field behind my childhood home. They were hitting golf balls. He had helped her through the barbed wire fence on the way into the field, but Lauren decided that she could get back through on her own while her grandpa collected the balls. He says it was a pretty pitiful sight. FYI if your kids are up to date on their immunizations, they do not need a tetnus shot :0). Then today I picked her up from preschool only to have her teacher hand me an "Accident Report Form." They were really sweet about it, and really concerned about her. She was playing like normal, when she lost her footing and fell headfirst on the big rock. She will have a fun bump for the next few days. I wasn't sure how to tell her teacher without sounding like the worst parent, that this kind of thing happens to Lauren all the time. Noah made it to age 7 before he had any injury worth noting, Lauren was 2 when she needed stitches. To this day, we think she has a permanent bump on her forehead from all the headers she has taken. Poor little Lauren, she is our rough and tumble kid.
I am so glad to be able to look at your post and enjoy watching your family grow up, they are darling. Thank you for sharing with me.
