Odds & Ends

Today I have been decorating for Christmas. Have you ever noticed how your house always looks beyond disaster zone right before being clean? (And of course that is when your RS President happes to stop by...in the disaster part....) It is all worth it, when you see the merry little twinkle lights brighten everything up. I am excited about our advent calendar. A yearly tradition that I look forward to as much as the kids.

I am working on a new hat for Lauren. It is going to be white with kitty ears with a little red bow by one of the ears. Hello Kitty :o) I will post a picture when I'm done.

Looking forward to Lauren's little Christmas Party for her friends this Friday morning. They are all coming in their pajamas for breakfast and the 2nd act of The Nutcracker by the San Francisco Ballet on DVD, as well as a cute little craft. I have been hanging snowflakes all day trying to create a winter wonderland (think waltz of the snowflakes.)

Lauren had 2 weeks off of pre-school for Thanksgiving and a conference for her teachers. Today I told her that she got to go back today. She said "Wow, I used to go to school, now I get to start again." Isn't it wonderful that 2 weeks can seem like forever to someone, and not just a blink.

  1. You are a wonderful mom!!!! A Christmas party?
I was lucky to get the tree up and presents wrapped. My children would have loved you as a mother. You have a delightful family.
