Poor sad blog

Hello little blog, I have been ignoring you.  It's not that I havn't had many wonderful things to share.  Cute kid moments, fun photos, traditions etc.  I have just not done it, then I feel as if I have fallen behind and will never catch up and you see what a vicious cycle this is.  At some point I will just say goodbye to my unshared cute post ideas and start up again with my new cute post ideas, but for now I will just say hello blog.  (I don't want to shock you by going from nothing to overload in one day)
My little Christmas baby has turned 10, My close to Christmas baby turns 6 this week, This year will mark our 14th anniversary, and I have been thinking a lot about time.
Our third little one has been saying extra-ordinary things as of late, funny, profound, silly, deep, you name it she has covered it.  Hi-lar-i-ous.
I have decided that once you volunteer for something (say Charter School Governing Board)  peple will use you until you are a shell of a human being, who wishes they had just kept their mouth shut and not made eye contact.  It's a love/hate relationship.  (although I sometimes feel that way about church callings as well...ohh I think I just saw a flash of lightning out of the corner of my eye.)
It turns out the Nintendo Wii IS all it's made out to be.
The flu sucks! I mean it bites it big time.
Knitting hats never gets old.
Exploring the retro/50's housewife culture is fascinating and funny and just a little scary all at the same time, which is a post unto itself. (that and the reasons why on another day.)

But I will end with a cute quote I found from Barbara Billingsley (who played June Cleaver on the sitcom "Leave it to Beaver."

"Some people think [June Cleaver] was weakish, but I don't. She was the love in that family.  She set a good example for what a wife could be.  Some people see the life of a housewife as a prison sentence, instead of an ongoing project of creativity and love."

Back to my ongoing project called life.....

  1. That is an excellent quote. I feel sorry for your poor blog not getting the attention it deserves...Just kidding. But it's fun to read your posts.

  2. Watched some home movies last night when Meg was about 2. Made me so glad to be a "June Cleaver" and feel even more glad you we became friends at the start of that journey!
